Creating Instagram Content: It's Easier Than You Think!
Instagram Reels, IG Stories, Boomerangs - Oh My!
You can be 71 years old starting a new business, or a 25 year old business professional - the new updates to Instagram can be daunting for a lot of people, and, if it wasn’t my job to keep up with the trends in Social Media, it would probably be scary for me too.
I often get clients of all different ages & cultures who have businesses ranging from life coaching to real estate, who might not always have the time to learn how to create compelling content on a daily basis. On top of running their own successful businesses, having to sit there and teach yourself how to tackle Instagram Reels might just not fit into your schedule - and understandably so!
But what happens when your social media manager is caught up in 50 other projects? or worse - you don’t have one?
Have no fear! I have a few steps & tips that will help you get started!
Believe in Yourself
It’s honestly as simple as believing you can do something. When learning something new, it can be really easy to criticize ourselves & compare ourselves to others. That is only going to make you HATE creating content! So I want you to first believe that you are a wonderful creator! You have everything it takes to create something beautiful for your business right at your fingertips!
Learn from Others
With social media, we have access to so much inspiration from ALL over the world. So don’t limit yourself to only the people you follow (although i’m sure you have some wonderful creators in your midst & you probably already know who they are because you are inspired every time they post a story or on their feed!). You can search for that inspiration in a number of ways, but here are some of my favorites:
Do a simple hashtag search using keywords such as: #contentcreator #creativecontent, #creativity. These can yield some really amazing results & help you find the inspiration you’re looking for!
Check out other, similar brands or even just big brands that are well established. Check out their stories! What filters are they using? What do you love about their style? Which angles are they using in their photos that you love? etc.
Create a Collection of the accounts that inspire you so that you can easily access those posts when you’re ready to go out and create!
Practice makes perfect!
Ok, so, maybe not perfect because perfection to me is an unattainable goal - BUT - you can get close by being consistent in your pursuit to create & innovate! That means that if your business heavily relies on you connecting with your audience, maybe practice recording front facing videos using the hands-free feature so you can place your phone down and be able to express yourself more fully.
